4. cookies
We use cookies on our website. These are small files that your browser automatically creates and that are stored on your end device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our website. Cookies do not cause any damage to your end device and do not contain any viruses, Trojans or other malware. Information is stored in the cookie that results in each case in connection with the specific end device used. However, this does not mean that we obtain direct knowledge of your identity. On the one hand, the use of cookies serves to make the use of our website more convenient for you. For example, we use so-called session cookies to recognize that you have already visited individual pages of our website. These are automatically deleted after you leave our site. In addition, we also use temporary cookies to optimize user-friendliness, which are stored on your end device for a specified period of time. If you visit our site again to make use of our services, it is automatically recognized that you have already visited us and which entries and settings you have made so that you do not have to enter them again. On the other hand, we use cookies to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer for you (see section 5). These cookies enable us to automatically recognize that you have already visited our website when you visit it again. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period of time. The data processed by cookies is required for the purposes mentioned to protect our legitimate interests and those of third parties in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Most browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or a message always appears before a new cookie is created. However, completely deactivating cookies may mean that you cannot use all the functions of our website.
5. analysis tools (tracking tools) (currently not available)
The tracking measures listed below and used by us are carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. With the tracking measures used, we want to ensure a needs-based design and the continuous optimization of our website. On the other hand, we use the tracking measures to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer for you. These interests are to be regarded as legitimate within the meaning of the aforementioned provision. The respective data processing purposes and data categories can be found in the corresponding tracking tools.
a) Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics on our websites, a web analysis service of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California, 94043 USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies” (see section 4.). The information generated by the cookie about the use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, Google will truncate your IP address beforehand within member states of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website for the purpose of evaluating the use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by the customer’s browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. The customer can prevent the storage of cookies by setting the browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case not all functions of this website may be fully usable. The customer can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to the use of the website (including the IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link ( http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).
As an alternative to the browser add-on or within browsers on mobile devices, you can click on this link (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de) to prevent Google Analytics from collecting data within this website in the future. An opt-out cookie will be stored on your device. If you delete your cookies, you must click this link again.
b) Use of remarketing or “similar target groups” function of Google Inc.
We use the remarketing or “similar target groups” function of Google Inc. (“Google”) on our website. This function allows the provider to target visitors to the website with advertising by displaying personalized, interest-based ads to visitors to the provider’s website when they visit other websites in the Google Display Network. Google uses “cookies” (see section 4) to analyze website usage, which forms the basis for the creation of interest-based advertisements. You can deactivate the use of cookies at any time via your browser settings. However, this may limit the functionality of our offers. Cookies are used to record visits to the website and anonymized data on the use of the website. No personal data of visitors to the website is stored. If you subsequently visit another website in the Google Display Network, you will be shown advertisements that are highly likely to take into account previously accessed product and information areas. The customer can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to the use of the website (including the IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de). Further information on Google Remarketing and Google’s privacy policy can be found at http://www.google.com/privacy/ads/
c) Google Adwords Conversion Tracking
We also use Google Conversion Tracking to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our website for you. Google Adwords places a so-called “cookie” (see section 4) on your computer if you have reached our website via a Google ad. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of the Adwords customer’s website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.
Each Adwords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of Adwords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Adwords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Adwords customers are told the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information with which users can be personally identified. If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can also refuse the setting of a cookie required for this – for example, by using a browser setting that generally deactivates the automatic setting of cookies. You can also deactivate cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser so that cookies from the domain “www.googleadservices.com” are blocked. You can find Google’s privacy policy on conversion tracking here (https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html).
6. social media plugins
We use social plugins from the following social networks on our website on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR in order to make our website better known. The underlying advertising purpose is to be regarded as a legitimate interest within the meaning of the GDPR. Responsibility for data protection-compliant operation must be guaranteed by the respective provider. We integrate these plugins using the so-called two-click method to protect visitors to our website in the best possible way.
a) Facebook
Elements of Facebook (so-called social media plugins) are integrated on our websites to make their use more personal. We use the “LIKE” or “SHARE” button for this purpose. Facebook is a company of Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”).
By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook account or are not currently logged in to Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there. If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can directly associate your visit to our website with your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the “LIKE” or “SHARE” button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on Facebook and displayed to your Facebook friends. Facebook can use this information for the purposes of advertising, market research and the needs-based design of Facebook pages. For this purpose, Facebook creates usage, interest and relationship profiles, e.g. to evaluate your use of our website with regard to the advertisements displayed to you on Facebook, to inform other Facebook users about your activities on our website and to provide other services associated with the use of Facebook. If you do not want Facebook to assign the data collected via our website to your Facebook account, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website.
We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Facebook. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy can be found in the data protection information (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/) of Facebook.
b) Google Plus
We use the “+1” elements of Google Plus, a service of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California, 94043 USA (“Google”), on our websites. Each time one of our web pages with the “+1” element is accessed, customer data is transmitted to Google and stored by Google for a period of up to two weeks. This is the data already mentioned above under “Statistical data”. If the customer clicks on the “+1” element while registered and logged in to Google Plus, this information is transmitted to Google and stored there with reference to the customer’s profile and made publicly accessible. Further information on the collection, transfer and use of data by Google can be found at the following website: https://www.google.com/intl/de/+/policy/+1button.html.
c) Instagram
Our websites also use so-called social plugins (“plugins”) from Instagram, which is operated by Instagram LLC, 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA (“Instagram”). The Instagram plugin can be recognized by the “Instagram button”, for example in the form of an “Instagram camera”. When you access a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to Instagram’s servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Instagram directly to your browser and integrated into the page. Through this integration, Instagram receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have an Instagram profile or are not currently logged in to Instagram. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to an Instagram server in the USA and stored there. If you are logged in to Instagram, Instagram can directly associate your visit to our website with your Instagram account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the “Instagram” button, this information is also transmitted directly to an Instagram server and stored there. The information is also published on your Instagram account and displayed there to your contacts.
If you do not want Instagram to assign the data collected via our website directly to your Instagram account, you must log out of Instagram before visiting our website. We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Instagram. Further information can be found in Instagram’s privacy policy at https://help.instagram.com/155833707900388.
e) Pinterest
We use the “Pin it” button of the social network Pinterest, which is operated by Pinterest, Inc., 808 Brannan St, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA (“Pinterest”). When the “Pin it” button is clicked, a connection is established with the Pinterest server and Pinterest receives the information that the corresponding page has been accessed by you. If you are logged in to Pinterest during this time, Pinterest can assign your visit to your Pinterest account. If you do not want such an assignment, you must log out of your Pinterest account before clicking on “Pin it”. We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Pinterest. Further information on this can be found in Pinterest’s privacy policy at http://pinterest.com/about/privacy/.
7. online services / internet advertising
On our website, we use online services and advertising tools of the companies listed below on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR in the interest of optimal marketing of our offer. The underlying advertising purpose is to be regarded as a legitimate interest within the meaning of the GDPR. Responsibility for data protection-compliant operation must be guaranteed by the respective provider.
a) Google Adsense
This website uses Google Adsense, a web advertising service of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California, 94043 USA (“Google”). Google Adsense uses so-called “cookies” (see section 4), which are stored on your computer and which enable Google or third parties to analyze your use of the website. Google Adsense also uses so-called “web beacons” (small invisible graphics) to collect information. By using the web beacon, simple actions such as visitor traffic on the website can be recorded and collected. The information generated by the cookie and/or web beacon about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google uses the information obtained in this way to evaluate your usage behavior with regard to the Adsense ads, to compile reports on website activity and ads for the website operators and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You can prevent the storage of cookies on your hard disk and the display of web beacons by selecting “Do not accept cookies” in your browser settings. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
